Sorella Cafe is a Japanese-French patisserie in the Bukit Indah shophouse area, opened by two sisters with a passion for handcrafted desserts. The name 'Sorella' means 'sister' in Italian. The cafe has built a loyal following among both locals and Singaporean day-trippers for its artisanal approach: every cake, croissant, and macaron is made by hand in-house.
The standing waffles are the signature: honeycomb-shaped, made with naturally fermented dough, and served in flavours like Apple Crumble and Mango Salsa. Beyond pastries, there is a full savoury menu with sourdough pizzas, handmade pasta (carbonara RM 28.90), and truffle fries. The seasonal cake selection rotates and includes yuzu oolong, coffee tiramisu, and passion fruit mango.
The interior is Instagram-friendly with warm, cosy vibes suitable for lingering. Bukit Indah is further from CIQ (about 25 minutes), but most Singaporeans combine it with an AEON Mall grocery run. No pork, no lard. Payment is mostly cash.
